No Hands But Ours was the vision of a mother of 10, 5 (and one on the way) from China with special needs, whose passion continues to be finding homes for the children left behind. Stefanie saw the need for a site that would provide education, resources, and encouragement for families considering SN adoption, as well as advocacy for children who still wait for their families.

Collaborating in this effort are 2 additional women, all contributing their gifts and talents to maximize the reach and impact of this site...

Amie is a mother of 8, 4 from China, 3 with special needs. Her selflessness and passion for the children left behind inspire us to accomplish all that God has called us to.

Tonggu Momma is a mother to one, with a second daughter on the way from China. Her resourcefulness, intelligence and wit rounds out our team, keeping our content current, interesting and purposeful, with a big side of laughter.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the families who have generously shared their stories, their blogs, their favorite resources, and their prayers that this site would flourish and that many more of these precious children would come home to their forever families.

The inspiration for the name of the site came from the poem in the sidebar, by St. Theresa of Avila. As St. Theresa so eloquently reminds us, we are the hands and feet of Christ through which He blesses the world. It is our prayer that He would allow us to be His instrument to bless the precious waiting children of China.
